Linux filesystem tree is large and complicated. It will vastly improve your skills if you familiarize yourself with it.

Briefly, typical Linux contains five filesystems. These filesystems can reside on a single or different physical hard drives and/or hard drive partitions, depending on the size and need of your system. (A single filesystem can also be distributed between different physical devices, if needed.)

The root "/" filesystem contains basic operating system and maintenance tools. The content of this filesystem should be sufficient to start up the system and perform emergency maintenance and repairs if they were necessary.

EXECUTION OF THE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

Phased Development

Phase I: Requirement Analysis

Identify and generalize Employees requirements. Design a foolproof information flow plan. Analyze the scope of integration with different departments. Also identify gaps in the existing website.

Phase II: The Design Phase

A number of creative concepts would be produced and presented to a cross section of staff before the final creative design. The development of the draft information architecture would be based on existing information provided by “The Client” during Phase I.

From these processes the final information architecture and creative design would be developed. This would comprise of the technical and business architecture, server infrastructure that incorporated database structure, other technical requirements, business requirements, workflow approval process and information flow.

A detailed design document that sketched out the site structure in detail, describing all the template pages of the site, whether they were menu pages, content search pages or actual content pages would be developed. This document forms the basis for the site build.

Phase III: The Development Phase

This will comprise of:

The Development Blueprint, which would include the design documents, establishing the, “The

Client” Technical staff on development team, the content management and the applications for various functionalities.

The de-bug fixing; retesting will be undertaken before the site is declared ready for Launching.
